The Joomla! Project and the Production Leadership Team are proud to announce the release of Joomla! 3.4.0 latest releases of the 3.x release series.

    What's in 3.4?

The 3.4 release introduces new features into the CMS such as improved front end module editing, decoupling of weblinks, composer integration, Google new reCaptcha and security improvements by implementing UploadShield code which can detect most malicious uploads by examining their filenames and file contents. Please note: Due to technical reasons we have had to disable the Install from Web Service. We are working to get it back online as soon as possible. To find extensions please use the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Thanks to the hard work of over 130 different volunteer contributors, over 700 bugs have also been resolved with the 3.4 release of the Joomla! CMS. See the list of fixed GitHub issues for details of the tracker items fixed.

For known issues with the 3.4.0 release, see the Version 3.4.0 FAQ in the documentation site.

The Production Leadership Team's goal is to continue to provide regular, frequent updates to the Joomla community. Learn more about Joomla! development at the Joomla! Developer Network.

  • Joomla! 3.4 Release Candidate Released

The Joomla! Project is pleased to announce the availability of the Joomla! 3.4 Release Candidate. Community members are asked to download and install the package in order to provide quality assurance for the forthcoming 3.4 release.

Joomla! 3 is the latest major release of the Joomla! CMS, with 3.4 the fifth standard-term support release in this series. Please note that going from 3.3 to 3.4 is a one-click upgrade and is NOT a migration. The same is true is for any subsequent versions in the 3 series of the CMS. That being said, please do not upgrade any of your production sites to the release candidate as it is ONLY intended for testing and there is no upgrade path from pre-release packages.

The Society

The primary focus of The Society since 1865 has been the assistance of individuals that call for help. That help may include assistance with utility bills, food baskets, rent or mortgage assistance.  It could also include help paying medical bills and whatever else the person may need to get back on their feet.

In Brief

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul first arrived in Memphis in 1865. The first conference (or group of volunteers) gathered at St. Peter and Paul parish in downtown Memphis. Since then the Society has grown to ten conferences, with hundreds of Vincentians, as the members are called. That number does not include the scores of volunteers that work at the food mission.
